Why I’m Running       

I believe government is too big, too intrusive and costs too much.  I want to do something about it!  Government employs more people than all manufacturers combined and grows in bad times as well as good.  Adjusted for inflation Iowa Government spending has grown by more than 250%  over the last 30 years.  Almost 20% in the last two years alone!  The average citizen now works more than six months just to pay for the cost of government!

Too many politicians think they have a mandate to control our lives, banning smoking, requiring helmets, taxing anything they don’t like and forcing us to live according to their preferences rather than our own.

I am opposed to further increasing our taxes and the government over-regulation of our lives.

1976 Iowa State Graduate

Naval Flight Officer flying the carrier based S-3 Viking and P-3 Orion Maritime Patrol Aircraft.  Retiring as a Commander after 23 years of Naval Service. 

Larry earned an MBA from Southern Illinois University while on Active Duty and works in the Insurance Industry.
